Kershaw,
You did R.J. justice with this knife! I must say, I'm impressed as heck with my newest knife purchases (another JYD II, my first, small JYD, and the wonderful 1730 Groove)! The Groove has one of the most confortable grips I've experienced, and it opens oh so quickly and smoothly. The blade is typical Kershaw sharp, and overall, It is quite simply a great design!

If the company keeps up with this level of quality, variety, and affordablity, my collection of Kershaws (2 E.T.s, 2 Chives, 2 Leeks, 2 Liner Actions, 2 JYD IIs, a Blackout, a Mini-Mojo, a JYD, and a Groove) will quickly catch up to my collection of Spydies (19)!

Tim,
You really knocked one outta the ball park with the JYDs (both sizes)! They are outstanding! I had the black G-10, JYD II, but just had to get a gray G-10, to see what I was missing. As Tony the tiger used to say, "They're Grrrrrreat!"

Does anybody here have the Tanto Groove, and if so, how do you like it? I'd like to get one just for the DLC coating. I love the fact that Kershaw DLC's their blades, as I consider DLC to be the best blade coating available!

3Guardsmen: Indeed, Kershaw did a great job with the GROOVE. As they do with all their knives! I'm glad you're a fan like me.
The Tanto Groove has a hollow "grind", and the edge is a bit thinner than the standard GROOVE, so it is really going to be a cutter. And the black DLC coating is so good it's sexy.

Hello Mr. Martin. Anymore collabs with Kershaw in the upcoming year, or is mum the word!:D

Btw, I know this is the Kershaw forum, but is Boker ever going to bring mthe Renegade to market, or is Kershaw going to have to take over the project.;);):D

Love your custom stuff!!!

I have the Tanto, and it is my favorite Groove...one of my favorite Kershaws, period! Definitely my favorite manual opener (although the JYD II is no slacker). I love the grind, and it is scary sharp! The various shades of black are close to perfection!

My favorite look in a folder ever is R.J. Martin's Havoc...it is perfection...check out his site!

Wow! From the man himself! Mr. Martin, thank you for the info and the great design! I've ordered my Tanto Groove and can't wait for its arrival.

Yeah, the Groove is one of the best knife designs ever.
The fluid opening of the flipper, the textured grips, finger grooves
and the flipper doubles as a finger guard. Perfection.
I have 2 of each model, and gave another away in my last giveaway to OL.
It is large enough for my big hands, but not too big to weigh
down the pocket. (Leek is the smallest thing I can carry)

I would love to see more of Mr. Martin's designs come out at Kershaw.
After viewing the website last week, I can't find any that I wouldn't want.

Thanks Mr. Martin.

Thanks, Reholli. I checked out his site and haven't stopped drooling yet! I blame Kershaw (and you) for this.;):D

Ooops! :) I hear you...my Kershaw collecting is out of control, and yet the wheels are still turning over how to acquire a Havoc...too many knives, too little time (and money)! ;):)
