I finally managed to pry a SHBM (1 of 300 grind) from the fingers of a fellow forumite - I've been looking for one for ages and can't really afford it but hey when have I ever been able to afford INFI ??

Now thee agonising wait till it gets here !!

Can you fellas post all your SHBM pics so I can have a good drool while I wait for mine to get here !!

Tough to tell from the picture.

There are three grinds on the coated first 300, wide and narrow top plus a false sharpened to a dull edge.

The false sharpened to a dull edge coated is one of six or so as I remember.

An edge that "Could" be sharpened with a crock-stick.

Edited to add, all three look like a top edge from the side.

There were also some coated that had a sharp top edge, but the false sharpened are coated all the way to the top, not flat on the top swedge.

Looks like the thin edge on this on which is supposedly a 1 of 6 or 30 or whatever. However, even this one here doesn't look like you could easily sharpen it with a crock stick. It would have a very obtuse edge IMO.

Looks like it could be a narrow flat top.

Cept you say it is round on the top, Cool :eek:

Maybe a "one of a kind" ? certainly new to me.

The false shapened I have seen are more like a kind of sharp butter knife.

Rounded only by the coating, more like unsharpened regular Busse knifes after coating and befor sharpening.

by the way it is #4 from the left in the top picture.
