been waiting months for this rifle!

I was expecting to hear about the checkout girl but... sweet! They have any fuel for it?

it actually came with a box of 20

That will last a few seconds. Ammo is at a premium right now. I ran up and down Arizona a few weeks back and the Ammo they did have, they wanted a Buck a round. I hear that the manufacture won't be back up to speed for 6 to 9 months. I believe the Government bought a trillion rounds and thats why it is so scarce.

IMHO, the shortage is regional. There is no shortage of ammo in any flavor that I have noticed here. Though I didn't run across any Norma 7.7 Arisaka at the last gun show I went to.

Was in Wally World this weekend and their ammo display was about 98% empty. A few off brand centerfire and some shotgun shells. They havent put up any new stock in a couple months. I bought the last of their .22 and .22WMR a month ago. Too close to Newtown I guess.--KV

Nice rifle. Good luck finding ammo for it without taking a second mortage

It is regional! I'm a few hours east of you & ammo shelves here have tumbleweeds on 'em! About a month ago, I was in Sevierville & was allowed 1 box of 9mm per store limit. Guy had 20 round federal boxes of 2.23 for $20 & 100 round federal for $79. Had scads of cases but wouldn't sell by case price! I swallowed my pride & bought the 9 out of wanting a box with an ammo tax stamp on it. However, all the ammo I've ordered lately has come outta Tennessee. I found a dealer who calls me when something I want comes in. That's service!!!

I could go down to the local stores today and pick up my choice of rifle or pistol and a can full of ammo if I wished. And I'm not talking about big box stores, but home centers, building supplies and auto parts stores. I'm sure it is different in the large cities and their suburbs, but evidently the people there don't want the items badly enough to scout around the small towns for them. Of course we aren't under the impending threat of any draconian legislation either, so that makes a difference.

I'm so glad I started stock piling up on 5.56 and .223 rounds a couple years ago! I would go down every pay check and buy 2 to 6 boxes of ammo which at that time was going for $4.99 a box of 20 for Remington and the Federal Tactical 5.56 rounds. Now I don't want to shoot any of what i have until I can start buying more to replace what I got though. :(

Nice rifle by the way you picked a good one!

Very nice. My closest Cabelas is in TN (about a 4ish hour drive for me). Been meaning to head there at some point, but I need a time when I can afford to stay in the area for a few days...
