But it was a Russell Premium Boy Scout Knife with India stag. Gonna put it away for the grandson, who is 9-1/2 months old. I hope by the time he is ten or so having it won't automatically make him a criminal. :grumpy:

Hey, I thought the thread was going to be about buying a Sebbie.

So did I!

Sadly, the media is giving people in Canada (United States?) the idea that people with knives are automatically dangerous criminals who should be feared, ostrisized, and falsely accused. Hopefully things will be better for future generations as it appears as if "knife people" are a dying breed. :(

I wanted a folder, didn't even get to see the prototype! Sad day...........

EXACTLY my thoughts! I'll sell my Sebbie when the Busse comes out, but till then it's on my belt whenever I wear my belt.

Nice snag Mike, but give him a Paki POS first (and perhaps second), cause he's bound to destroy the first one at least.

I've got some missionary work to do with the grandson's mama before I give him a knife.

She is not from a gun/knife background, and I'm not sure how she feels about my guns and knives. She is a fine lady and a great mother, though. My son hit the jackpot with her.

The India Stag would be a good way for her to see the utilitarian aspect of knives before you introduce her to seome hardcore Busses. Plus, an attractive knife comes across more "sheeple" friendly to the average individual.

My Grand Father used to teach me to do fun things like sharpen knives, prepare fishing gear, and load ammo during school holidays. He never had to tell me to keep quiet about the cool things he was teaching me.

I envy you...

Peter,

I'm glad I had the chance to learn the skills he taught me, and I hope I'll get the opportunity to teach what I remember to a few people.

At least we now have the internet to help keep skills and interests alive.
