got me a laser devices inc. "operative" at the gunshow today, it was marked $79.99 and the guy was giving 30% off on all the lights he had so i paid about $60 out the door, i'm not really sure if thats a good price or not lol, but it seemed at least "ok" to me, i havent ever seen one of these new lights before, only pics, but they really seem well made, all the F&F was top notch, good ano, the light is about the same size as a SF E2e, and about the same brightness, maybe just a hair dimmer, all in all for the $$ i am pretty happy with it, only cons so far are:
*they claim ya can focus the beam but all ya do is unscrew the bezel and the focus changes some, nothing dramatic and i wouldnt wanna carry it around with the bezel loose, so imho this feature isnt much, if any, good.
*i was under the impression all of these were LED, this model is not, in fact in combat handguns mag they say it is a LED, same model #/etc, but its not. i prefer LED myself. also the bezel end is the only end which unscrews, the tail cap is not removable, not bad or good i guess, just different, unless ya wanna change the cap anyway, the switch is like on a SF E2D, the "clickie" IIRC its called, works just fine i prefer those to the std SF switch anyway.
but like i said for the bucks its a pretty cool little light, they had some weapons lights which looked pretty cool too, came w/a universal kinda mount, and a pigtail switch, looked pretty good, a little slimmer than SF, about $280 or so and up.
so if ya need a fairly bright slim light edc light i think this would be a good one, about in the same class as a SF E2e, except a little slimmer and liter. is a lot slimmer/brighter/liter than say a streamlite twin task 2 123 batt,
