Got myself a Fehrman Extreme Judgement, but it was delivered without the sheath! :( Does anybody knows if it should come with a sheath or is the sheath sold seperately?

No such information on their website and it seems like they hate E-mail. Can't get them to reply my enquiry with a simple YES or NO! :(

I had read your question elsewhere, and wrote them myself about it, last night. I got some complicated verification procedure I had to go through for them to accept my email. I still haven't gotten an actual response, but if I get one before you do, I'll let you know! :D

I need to know as well since I just placed an order for one. It doesn't say anything about it not coming with a sheath.

I am located in Sweden. Different time zone and expensive phone calls are just some of the problems I like to avoid.

For what it's worth........

I just went to the Fehrman site and all indications are each knife is supposed to come with a sheath. I base this on the fact that there are no separate prices listed for the sheaths and no "submit" buttons on the sheath page, only descriptions of the style sheath that goes with each knife series.
Good luck!:D

I got an email response:

Currently all of our knives come with a Leather sheath except the "Extreme Judgment". In a few weeks we are goling to make the sheath optional and offer both leather and kydex sheaths.

This seems strange. The website says nothing explicit about whether or not a sheath comes with each knife and in practice, it varies by knife. If they intended buyers of the one knife they sell naked to have to buy a sheath separately, why not say so? Or did they, and I misssed it?

No Nothing of that sort. Not even on the website!

Akee...

I have responded to all my current emails regarding the Extreme Judgment knives... either I didn't receive your specific email or you did not receive my response. Either way I apologize for the inconveniance. Please email me at edf@ftdinc.com and we can clear things up.

The Extreme Judgment is a blade with a lot of curve, hence a leather sheath does not work well on this style blade. That is why this blade must have a kydex sheath to work well. Our web guy should have had our website updated to show that this sheath was an additional cost. Since our site was NOT updated to show this I will send you a Kydex sheath at nop charge. These new sheaths are of superior quality, soi I hope you will be pleased.

Esav,
Regarding the "complicated verification procedure"... we receive thousands (literally) of spam messages a day so we incorporated a verification procedure. After you send an email our server sends a request to see if you are a real person or just a spambot... all you have to do is respond to the intitial inquiry ONCE and you be added to our "whitelist".

Others,
All current orders of Extreme Judgments will receive a Kydex sheath free. You will notice our webpage change later today to reflect the new sheathing costs for all subsequent orders.

I apologize for the confusion, we have been rushing to get new models listed on our site and out to customers and I have let some of the details fall through the cracks.

Please email me at edf@ftdinc.com if you have ANY other questions.

This just confirms what a great company Fehrman Knives is, and that Eric is clearly concerned about the customer.
These mix ups happen but Mr.Fehrman took the right course of action to correct it. I feel much better about my EJ purchase now as I was having some second thoughts. I for one will definatley be looking at buying more knives from this company.
