Got me a nice Glock 22C

Spent the day at a local gun/knife show, where I snagged a pretty sweet, slightly used Glock 22C. Compensated barrel, with night sights. Shows a little bit of holster wear, but not much. Doubtful if it's been shot enough to do more than break it in a little. Anybody else have one of these? Did I do allright? Kinda wanted another Sig or an HK, but this one simply felt great in my hand.

I disagree. HK is the way to go in my opinion. they developed the polymer pistol, and today have made probably the best out there.

But still, congrats on your purchase. Any pistol that feels good to the shooter is the way to go.

Still gonna get me an HK someday, but this will do for a while.

The wife carries a glock 17. It shoots softer and with better accuracy than the Taurus she was packing.
congrats on the new firearm.

Danbo...Yup, I had a Glock 22C for awhile, but I just couldn't get used to the hot gasses shooting out of those comp slits on the front of the slide, as I do alot of close-in (weapon-retention) shooting. The slots DO help to "tame" the up-wards recoil impulse of the hot .40 rounds, but I don't find the recoil from the .40, as fired from Glock pistols, to be all that bad anyway, since the low-barrel axis and "plastic" frame goes a long way in holding down the normal "recoil".

Now, shooting a 22C at night, when it's dark out, is an interesting sight to see.:D.:D.

Nice score Danbo. Haven't shot the "C" model, but I recently dropped a KKM match barrel in my G22 and it shoots great. I think you'll really enjoy it.

Nice job. Can't go wrong with a Glock.

I agree 100%.
Nice find!!!! I think very highly of Glock. But as for my personal preference......I'm a Sig man. To me a Sig just feels good in my hand.

Range report?

I had a 22C for about a year, and someone else wanted it more than I did. It shot great, and the guy I sold it to loves it. Hope you enjoy yours!

Yo Danbo... I've got the 23 and 27... Have shot the 'c' model in 9mm, but not the .40 S&W... While I had no prob's with the blast, I don't think I'd want to shoot one from very close to my body... But on the range it's nice...

Nice score!

You can always put a regular G22 barrel in that bad boy if you don't like the venting. Personally, I have no reason to drill holes in a perfectly good gun, but the competition guys swear by them, I guess they are a little faster.
www.lonewolfdist.com is great for glock parts.

I have a 9mm conversion barrel and mags for my G22.

Sure Sigs and HK's are great guns, but they are almost double what you can pick up a glock for. And glocks go bang every time you pull the trigger also.
