The long awaited Kershaw RAM finally arrived at my door today. Payed a total of $63.00 for it. Well worth the price imo.

The fit and finish on this knive are supurb. The flipper action is very smooth. The best flipper i've used to date, compaired to the NRG and JYD. This blade just flies out of the handle with very little effort.

The ergos of this knife are great for my mid sized hand. Very comfortable. Finger choils give me a very secure grip. The G10 inserts are grippy without being abrasive. The three thumb nubs(are they nubs? I don't know) work very well for thumb studs, and add a cool look to the knife. I also like the size and shape of the blade for general purpose use.

Two things keeping this from being perfect for me are, 1. The clip is way to tight on the knife I got. Very hard to get it on and off my pocket. Not a big deal, i can adjust it. 2. I wish the Hawk lock switch was larger like the one on the MUDD. Again, though, no big deal. The Hawk lock switch on the RAM is easy to use and works great.

I love this knife and will be using it, and recommending it often. My hat goes off to the people at Kershaw and Grant & Gavin Hawk for this offering.
 
Yeah the clip is a TIGHT ONE!! Other than that, no complaints:thumbup: I also like the texture on the G-10. Just enough grip without feeling like it's gonna tear your jeans apart.

Is the clip tighter than the Needs Work?

We haven't discussed a grind change on the RAM. We are looking into easing up on the clip tension though.
 
I am quite impressed with the Hawk RAM. This may well become my favorite folder. Each Kershaw I buy seems to be better than the one before. I think the edges on the recent Kershaw knives are slightly thinner which makes them a more efficient cutter and slicer. And this Ram is an excellent slicer. Also, my clip is getting easier to attach and remove from my pants. I just love this knife! Outstanding job Kershaw! And Grant and Gavin Hawk.

Just wanted to add, that this was also the sharpest Kershaw i've ever gotten out of the box. The more I handle this knife the more it impresses me.
