This thing is sweet. Great feel. And the weight is in the palm where I like it for a finesse type blade. Brings my total up to 5(though only 3 models)since I gave my skinny Warden to my Bro. Here are some pics of the family(and one with my dive knife). I for one will NOT be selling this, markup or not.

I know its only 5 blades but this a bunch of loot for me, and Im still relatively new.

Forgot to mention a FAT thanx to somebody for his proxy help. He knows who he is and I owe him some Scotch whenever we meet up.

A "G" ya say?;) Well I could get a another one plus a .....No Ill pass.
But thanx. I really love this little guy. First skinny Busse, but really feels like a big guy with the full convex grind. Kinda plays tricks on my eyes(or maybe thats the Jamesons)when looking down on the spine. This one is a keeper(as all mine are).

Looks great. :)

I wish I had scored a SAR 5.... but the time difference meant I didn't.... boo hoo right.

Hopefully I'll pick one up somewhere.

Cheers.

Glad you got it, Rory. Maybe after my NO's (and my TigerWarden) come in we'll meet up and do a little pass around over some good scotch. I'd like to check out the SAR.

Man, I love that color combo!

I may be wrong, but I think this knife will appreciate in value very nicely. I would not be at all surprised to see it go in the $500-$600 range  within the next 2 years, given the very low quantity's produced. :)

I can't wait to get mine....a bit delayed because of the skinny ash. The Sar looks bigger in the hand than I thought it would.

It's 'handle heavy', but does feel good in hand. It's a big blade in a small package. For me it feels (in hand) most close to the old school Satin Jacks.

Grats on your SAR5! I'm still waiting on mine. I missed the ganza and had to snatch a couple up on the secondary market.

I totally agree with you KD. Small numbers made + hella popularity + the SAR4 eventually being released, creating a "set" will drive the prices on the SAR5s skyhigh. HOGs can get pretty serious about completing a "set", and since Jerry hates the SAR5, we can be pretty certain it won't be rereleased.

I got one too the other day. Really nice. And one of the best everyday users to come out.

Mine showed up this AM. I ordered them more for trading fodder than anything, and to say I had one. I had some steelnut kydex waiting for it when it arrived.

First impression, yuck, I agree with Jerry, ain't no Busse, thought about UJ's mod, and his comments about the handle. Figured I'd give it a try.

This thing's great. It's more of a small big knife. I was doing some work on the roof, stuck it in it's sheath tucked it in at 4:00 and went to work. It carried well, it's flat and wide, and tucks up well. I scrapped adhesive, pried up some boards, the fugly wide handle gives really good leverage prying, and the clip point got in where it needed.

Took it out on the trail, used it to clear part of a path and clean up one of my dog beaches. Chopped good the fat tapered butt lets you chop with a looser grip. Batoned the pommel, wow, a useful pommel ,

It's a descent tool, it feels more like a tool than a knife. It doesn't lay flat, the rounded handle tilts it edge down, it'll make taking pictures easier, but I'm not sure if there's a practical application other then indexing.

Best of all it's cheap INFI beater.

I think with a SAR5 and a BM, one would be pretty well covered.

My have to re-think my cutlery before this next trip !
