So I got me a twice as sharp ookami plus package. Basically i got the whole kit. Even got the convexing clamp. I gotta say it it pretty impressive on all the scissors I have sharpened so far. It is incredibly simple. I have sharpened several fabric and kitchen scissors and some barber shears. Haven't done any convex beauty scissors yet. Wanted to get some more experience with it before I do my wife's high dollar scissors. Have any of you used a TAS? If anyone has any tips and tricks for using it I am all ears.

First I have seen or heard of the Ookami and TAS system. Looks impressive as does the price tag  . Can it sharpen serrated scissors such as the Cutco Super Shears #77? Can I send you some scissors to sharpen ;) ?

I think you mean corrogated shears and no they don't do those. They sell another machine called the corro-gator that does those. And I'm not sharpening for other people yet. Want to get plenty of experience on it before I do anybody else's scissors. And ya the cost is pretty high. Got mine from sharpening supply and it cost $950. But it pays for itself pretty quick sharpening convex beauty shears at $25 each. My wife works in a hair salon and she didn't like paying a guy $40 per scissor to sharpen them. I already sharpen knives for people so my wife kinda talked me into it. There is a lot more to them than what you would think.

I almost want to get another one just for the motor so I can have one set up with the professional wheels and one set up with the Ookami wheels. Changing over is kinda a drag.

i completely understand. I had a friend who worked at Christoph Salon years ago. She was a scissors enthusiast herself. Even so, I was taken aback when she mentioned the dollar value of her tools...
