Was messing around Walmart with the kids and ended up back in sporting goods. (We we're looking for an exercise bike for mama). They didn't have anything that looked decent, so I wandered over to check out the air pistols (The Walter PPK air gun looks sweet!), While I was there, the girlie working there opened the cabinet, so I asked her If I could look at the PPK. Sure, she said. As I was checking that out, she asked me if I wanted to buy the one in her hands... Someone had returned it, un-opened, and she didn't want to have to restock it... So she marked the price down from $59.95 to...$5.00!
Hell yes, I'll take one for $5! It was a Gamo P23, unopened. Got a container of BB's and a 15 pack of CO2. (I'd a had an accident if they would have tried to sell me a PPK at the price!
)
Worked great! Put BB's right through a pop can filled with water (had to put something in it to keep it up as it was a bit windy here.) Also set some shot 2x4's on end and the pistol was driving the bb's in so far they were below the surface. Only complaint... Only hold 12 bb's at a time. The way it's set up, you can fire off all 12 in less than 5 seconds. My son and daughter cam out with me to try their hand. They scowled a bit when I told them they had to wear safety glasses, but after the first riccocet hit my daughter in the leg, they understood.
