Got my 1st Spyderco!

So I just bought my first Spyderco knife, a Delica 4 SS plain edge, to replace my smaller AG Russell folder as my main EDC :D. Really impressed with the build quality, looks, and feel of the Delica, especially the extra heft of the SS version. It just feels really solid in my hand, and the VG-10 blade is super sharp out of the box, with no grittiness in the pivot. Definitely a quality knife, and it has me thinking of maybe getting 1-2 others just to have also, like either a Sage 1 in CF or a Native 5, and maybe a Blue PM2 from BentoBox. Btw, what led me here to the forum was that I had seen an outstanding picture of the BB blue PM2 on a sharpening thread on another site a week ago, and that's what made me start looking at Spydercos and reading the threads here. Probably going to be a happy but $$$ mistake on my part.... Oh well.
 
Purchased my first one - a Caly 3 - in 2006. I'm up to around 45. The Delica and Endura are the gateway drugs. Sal now has a firm lock on your bank account.
 
An Endura would be a nice partner to the Delica. On the cheaper side you could look at the Byrd line. If you can't get the Bento Box PM2 you should be able to find the Blurple PM2 with the S110v steel. The Manix 2 lightweight is one I wish I had bought, it's a sweet knife st a really fair price. Good luck with the collecting.
 
Nice choice I have a regular frn delica and it's one of my favorite knives. I bought my dad a ss dragonfly and he carries every day the ss spydercos seem to be built extremely well.
 
The Sage 1 is an incredible knife. The Taiwan knives have excellent fit and finish. Sage 2 also fantastic. Of course the Para 2 is also a must have. Once you've been bit, you just can't quit. :D

Welcome. There are many companies that make knives. But you'll find that Spyderco is truly a knife company. So...you've been warned!

The Delica is my fav EDC.

If you like the heft and fit of the SS, you'll luv the Native 5.
 
Delica was my first Spyderco too. What's old is new because now I carry a Delica 4 in Hap40 everyday.
 
Congrats dude! Good call on the Delica, great knife! I picked up a Sage 1 a little while back and it's amazing! You can't go wrong there. I don't have a Native or a PM2, but many on here will tell you great things about both. As far as 1 or 2 more, as others have said already, good luck bud! Haha! I don't know much about drugs, but I'm pretty sure Spyderco is a type of crack! :D
 
As many others, a Delica 4 was my first Spyderco knife. Solid choice. Welcome to the club!

My first was a ZDP dragonfly, and it was awesome. A definite gateway drug. I have about 12 or so now, after having tried about 40!
I'd recommend the sage 1 next, so you can see if you like the linerlock over the backlock. (I still have both)
