I have only had a few minutes to examine it prior to having to go back to work but I gotta say, I am impressed. When I got my first Sebenza, A large Insingo with Micarta, it took about a week for me to really appreciate it. I was underwhelmed at first. Now I love it. So much that I decided to trade away another great knife just to try out a 25. Maybe it is because I already have experience with a Sebenza this time around, but I didn't have any feelings of being "Underwhelmed" when I opened the box the 25 came in. The previous owner anodized it bronze and it has a couple light carry marks on the ti, but it's new to me:) There is a familiar but very different feel. My first impression, ergonomically speaking, is that it is going to make a very competent and comfortable user. Also, I really like the bronze ano job. I am looking forward to taking this thing apart and giving it a good cleaning, lubing and stropping. I also like how it opens very smoothly with a very confidence inspiring "THWACK". Here are a couple quick iPhone pics right after I opened the box:

Love it
Definitely considering getting a 25 for my first CRK

Awesome man! The 25 is absolutley outstanding! I hope others here will jump on the wagon if not already. The surprise of this knife will be a, well....surprise! LOL :D

Congrats! The 25 is hands down my favorite knife. In my opinion it is Chris's masterpiece. It hasn't left my side since I got it. Im sure that you won't be disappointed. I would love to see some better pics of it anodized. Was it sanded or scotch brited first?

Congratulations! I've heard nothing but positive things about the 25. Anxious to try one out someday.

It is the same finish as new, just with a slight bronze color in the right light. It's bound to fade and wear with time but I think that will make, like all Sebenza's after some use, better;). IMHO of course.

Awesome I agree:thumbup: Love my 25, it's like my Umnum and Seb had a baby. I've been dreaming of a Damascus 25 with one piece inlay's. Mammoth Ivory or bark would be ok I suppose :D

man, I am holding out for the micarta version but all those threads make it hard

After a couple of days of light use, I am very satisfied with the Sebenza 25. I really like the extra "stoutness" compared to my 21 insingo. It is very subtle but it is there. The grip is very ergonomic, the lockup is very strong. It has a very positive detent, something I see as a "positive". In my few days of carry and light use, I can't think of anything that I would change really. Inlays would be great for slightly rounding out the handle to make it even more ergonomic but the same can be said for the 21s and this seems to be a matter of personal preference. For those of you that are CRK lovers (most of you are), I highly recommend picking one up when the become more available!

Congrats! Raymond. Glad to see it finally landed. The 25 rocks! and I agree with you about the underwhelming feeling of the 21 when it first lands. One thing I did notice with the 25 is that underwhelming feeling is gone super fast within a few days carry if it even existed at all. The appreciation for the slight tweaks and changes from the 21 grow and grow with more carry and more usage. Picking up the 25 totally quelched my desire for an Umnumzaan though maybe not totally. :p It is hard to say one can have too many CRK's especially when there is only 2 in the collection. I was a doubter, then a convert, and now a proponent of the possible knife of the year, the Sebenza 25.
