Mail man just dropped off MY RC5. (Thanks Derrick!) This joker is a beast! I got the green blade with the tan sheath and the combo is awesome. I am still recovering from surgery (torn pec tendon) so I cannot begin to put this bad boy to the test. Not sure if I could hurt it when I was healthy.
It feels great in the hand and it sliced up the box in came in like it was butter!
My old school silva compass fits perfect and I am about to pack in some more gear. Pics to follow once the chest is ok again.

An RC-5 in my left hand would be a bad combination. Have to hire a "safety officer" and install one of those backup beepers in the micarta grips to keep everyone clear of a dangerous situation.

PS. Uncle Pecos is an awesome character and one of the best Tom & Jerry cartoons they ever made!
 
Thanks guys. I go back to the Doc on Tues, hopefully he with start my physical therapy...you know the usual: build some traps, bow start a fire, chop some wood, etc.... A guy can dream can't he?
Also I taped up the extra nylon attached to the buckle on the pouch. I like having it but I wanted it out of the way. Anybody else come up with a better idea on what to do with it?
 
I just got an rc5 all black black sheath. cleary where are you on the EasternShore? I'm in OC.
 
I'm in Cambridge. About 20 minutes from Suicide Bridge. Thats the one place everybody knows. I teach with an English teacher who drives the hour everyday from OC.

Thanks guys. Its murder staring at the RC5 knowing that it is daring me to abuse it! I haven't even scuffed up the paint yet. I did pack the pouch with a compass, signal mirror, ferro rod/steel, dryer lint and some orange paracord. What did I miss?
