Man, just got my 560 today and man am I psyched! I will admit I spent slightly more that the $260 of many dealers but not nearly the $340-$425 I have been hearing about. Call me a sucker if you want but I wanted it and wanted it now. I found a dealer that only had one left and nabbed it. I ordered it friday and it showed up right around 11 today. This thing is amazing. Much lighter than I expected. Flips smooth as silk and mine has a perfect detent. This is going to replace my 0300 and I couldnt be happier. Finally a bearing operated flipper from a production company I love. I can only hope to own more of them in the future when they can actually remain in stock for more than a half hour, lol. I think the classiest touch on this knife is the logo. ITs a multifaceted logo that reflects different colors. Very neat touch. Ill telll you im loving the weight for its size. My 0300 nearly pulled my pants off and this is a nice change. Heres a couple pics of my new pocket pal.

I also like that they took the time to define how the laser traces the image rather than the old back and forth. It really gives it an interesting quality and is one of the extra little details that really impresses me with this knife. I'm also loving the new wire EDM cut super thin lockbar gap. A very welcome change.

I like seeing I'm not the only one completely in awe after handling one and the naysayers silent. We keep getting these "I just got this and wow!" threads but I hope we can get more posts as people use theirs. I've been trying to post updates as mine has broken in and what I've liked, disliked, and how it's smoothed out. I hope you'll continue to update us as you use yours. I think Thomas is still looking for some good feedback from someone who really uses their knife hard. I suspect right now due to the rarity everyone is having a difficult time really using these hard. I know I still baby mine.

trust me, this thing is gonna get used. I usually baby a knife for a week but once that thing gets its first beauty mark it becomes a desk diving champion in short order. I dont do safe queens. Ive tried and no matter how much I baby them they get screwed up anyways so I might as well enjoy them and use em. I used to collect and tried keeping them in pristine condition. Now I view them as a tool and tools get scars just like we do.

Im surprised there were any naysayers at all on this knife. Ive never known kershaw to put out a dud. Sure maybe some knives sell better than others but the quality they put out is usually top notch. And when we see most USA manufacturing moving to china you have to give props to a company that tries to keep as much manufacturing as possible here in the states. IMHO, to say something negative about zero tolerance is nearly being un patriotic.

Awesome dude! Im still waiting for the the hype to be over to get mine, hard to wait though.

Nice! The 0560 has become my favorite folder. It has bumped my 0551 for the time being, which bumped my 0301. They will all get carried, but I can't put the 0560 down. ZT is hitting home runs.

I agree that they have been hitting home runs. Kershaw has been at the top of my production maker list due to their excellent customer service, warranty and value. Ive always been a fan of bearing pivot flipper folders. Many said they would be a fad and die quickly but I think they offer the knife community a great advantage over switchblades which are in most cases a no go, and even assisted knives. IMHO they offer a more reliable delivery of the blade and there is little that will go wrong as where with the alternative you could get a broken spring or torsion bar. My only issue is that up until now your only options were to get high dollar custom folders or a Taiwan made CRKT. Im not trying to knock the CRKT stuff. I have a Walmart aluminum handle version of the ripple. Its a great little beater but Its not a knife guys knife. This 560 is simply a work of art. I pulled the package out of the mailbox and nearly panicked as I thought the company that sold it to me gave me the wrong knife it was so light. I even had one guy on youtube say it was a pretty heavy knife. I dont know what the heck is in his pocket most the time but this thing is a featherweight to me. This seriously is my grail folder. Im not a fan of customs as I tend to baby them too much. I want a knife I can use. And at the $300 I spent and even at the $260 I could have got it for had I any sense of patience its still not a cheap knife. But I can see it as a quality tool and not a work of art. But it seriously rides a thin line for that category. I just had to share my love for this thing. And thanks gos to kershaw for making a knife that is everything Ive been wanting out of a folder. I would however like to see some limited custom runs of this knife with flame colored frames and or swappable scales. A high polish or satin blade would be killer too. Or even a flame pattern composite blade to honor the designers firefighter backround.

I remembered the quote and started a thread about it here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ot-Will-Someone-use-one-already-quot-Thomas-W I didn't get many responses, although it was a 550/560 thread. I am also really looking forward to daily hard use experiences with these newer ZT offerings. I wouldn't say I "baby" my knives but the opportunity to really use them to the point that I would consider "hard use" doesn't come up too often for me and hasn't since I got my 0550.

Congrats on you 0560 Purpledc! I don't own one, but I do appreciate them. I feel that the 0550 is plenty big for anything I would need it for and a 3.75 inch knife is something I don't really need (but will probably get some day anyway:) )
