I went and got the Dentures today.Donna says that I look allot better now.But Now I have to get over the gagging stage and get used to eating with them..At least it is better than the ugly rotten teeth.

bruce i still think they would look good in bark bone! :D the first customer i showed that three finger bark bone handled knife to, bought it! can wait to get some more.

tmickley, that was the first time I ever laughed out loud while on the internet!!!
Bruce, what's on the new menu? Steak? Cheeseburger? BBQ?
:D

Donna and me both had to laugh at that one TMickly...I will get a picture soon. These things are a pain in the mouth.I guess I am just not used to them yet.guess I can't rush it...I have quit the gagging when talking but when I eat I am having a little trouble still. No steaks yet..I hope I am used to them in a few more days..

Nope no caramels or tootsie rolls yet either.I did try a small piece of fudge, that just stuck to the teeth and I had to let it melt.
The biggest problem I am having is one chewing as I am not used to having a mouth full of teeth and the worst is learning to swaqllow the food, seems like I want to swallow the dentures also (as I am not used to them in my mouth at the same time I am eating I guess)But I am not going to give up I know it can be done and I will overcome this obsticle also.Maybe I will loose some of the weight I wanted this way also.Funny how I could eat anything I wanted when I didn't have teeth but now I can't...Of well at least I don't look as funny anymore.

well bruce it takes awhile. i have a partial for 6 teeth in the upper and i cant speak clearly with the darn thing in. i think this idea of donna modeling with you new teeth in hand deserves a spot in your april 2003 calander?

Bruce,
Hang in there, buddy. I've had mine for about 6 months and not really used to them yet. Just don't do what a knife maker I visited (who will remain nameless) that had to take his teeth out to eat so wouldn't let me buy him a meal.
BTW, carefull when blowing off the dust. I've almost lost mine a couple of times that way. They don't have to fall far to break! Expensive.
Almost to 'dirty old man', Lynn

My mother just got a full upper denture. I keep begging her to let me take 'em to the buffer for a few seconds. I swear if I ever had dentures I'd make myself some steel teeth. Or maybe Ti. No rust. :)

Found out yesterday that the dentist had made this set to long on the op for me.I took them out to the shop and did a little modifying and guess what .....I can eat and chew and talk now. They had cut a spot on the roof of my mouth and that was how I found out they were to long as they were hitting way back in my mouth.a little rounding out at the back made a big difference.Guess they just needed a little grinding dust on them to make them feel at home. They don't move at all even when blowing or spitting now either:D It was great being able to eat yesterday. Now just to get used to them and I will be doing great.I figure that within another couple of weeks I won't even know they are there.I hope...:D
Donna says that she isn't to sure about a picture holding my teeth though:eek: she thinks it woould be yukky...

...who owns the "Swiss Army Grinder." Seeing your post made me laugh, thinking about how I used my to fit my last boxing mouthpiece. A couple of seconds, and it was a perfect fit!!

That, and it makes for a DANDY manicure implement. Also great for sharpening pencils, removing warts, grating cheese (don't ask), getting superglue callouses off of your fingers, and even occasionally grinding steel into knives!!!

:D :p :D

Glad you got yer teeth fittin', Bruce! And I have to say, while I'd love to see the pics as much as anyone, I keep getting this weird visualisation of Donna with your dentures, like some sort of odd "The Price is Right" hostess..."That's right, Mr. Evans...if you can guess the value of these teeth, they're YOURS!!!"

Now this is getting hilarious:D
I finally got to enjoy and eat dinner for the first time since I have gotten these things..I think I have them abot rite now.But time will tell.
Thanks everybody.
I will post a picture of me and a tomahawk on another post later or in the morning,I have to post it on the web site first.
