I really like this.

It's not as awe-inspiring as the big Beckers like the BK-9 and BK-5, but it is a very handy size and just begs to be used and used often. I got this as something I could carry in situations where a full size Becker might scare sheeple but give me a little more blade than the BK-11 and Eskabar. It's perfect. I think I'll be carrying this one more than I figured and using the dickens out of it. The 16 didn't appeal to me much at first but the more I saw images of one, the more it grew on me, so I decided to give one a chance. Now I'm glad I did. Seems to me the BK-16 is a great choice for an all-around jack-of-all trades hunting and bushcrafting knife. I think the BK-15 Mini-Magnum Camp will of course be a better knife for cleaning fish and in the kitchen, but the BK-16 will really excell as a do-it-all hunting knife, and just about anything else. It's a simple, clean, purely utilitarian design; nothing fancy, nothing "tactical", just pure effective function.

I'm going to buy another one, and stash it away for my son for when he's old enough for his first knife.

Outstanding job, Ethan:thumbup:

I am considering stripping it and giving it a nice dark apple cider vinegar patina. This little knife is just too cool.

Nice!
I agree with everything you said in your op.
if you don't have one, you should get one!
The bk16 is awesome!

I love the BK16. I was wanting one since I first saw the video way back on E2E. It's a great little knife. Now I am anxiously waiting for the BK10 to hit shelves.

Congrats on the 16! I love mine! I have to agree on it looking better stripped.

Wolf, fantastic choices there. Modern classics both of them.

My favorite auto pistols are Browning Hi-Powers and close descendants of them. I consider the CZ-75 to be the most evolved kin of the Hi-Power. Very accurate, wonderful ergo's, not the least bit finicky about any ammo I feed it, super easy to strip and reassemble for cleaning, and so far 100% reliable.

I have some black G10 grips by VZ Grips due to arrive tomorrow for it.

I've never worked with G10 or micarta before. I mention this because my next Becker will be a D2 Eskabar and I think it would be cool to put some black G10 scales on it to have it match my CZ-75B.

Wonderful photo! I love CZ pistols and the 75 is one of the best out there, personally I prefer the cz75 over the Beretta 92.i hope this thread gets more pics of modded 16's as I am still contemplating what to do to mine which is still wearing factory epoxy.
