I don't know how it happened, but it happened...
The one place I didn't check in my area for a BM-42, and guess what? They still had about ten apiece of the 42 and the 42A!!!
Needless to say, I bought the BM-42. The listed price was $140, but due to a store-wide sale, and a 20% reduction, I got it for $106 after taxes.
Initial observations...
So light, you forget you have it in your hip pocket.
Mine has loose handles, but I'll get the necessary torx drivers later this weekend. The smallest one I have is a T10..
Fast, very fast in the simple manipulations I did with it. That Ti really does live up to it's claims as to weight.
Some rough areas on the handles, but they're small enough not to really stand out. Clean blade, sharp as a diamond-coated saw blade.
Only other compaint is that the latch takes considerable effort to close with the handles in the closed position. Anyone know if this gets better with use?
In a nutshell, I'm happy with it, and will be even happier when I get Clay's BM-42 belt sheath day after tomorrow, or thereabouts.
