Got my BM42! :D

The big brown truck came by today and dropped off a brand new BM 42. Nice bali! Smooth, light, no blade play, great flipper! I've got a couple of Jags, some Spanish and Italian models, and a china cheapie, but there's no comparison. This is a great knife. If you love bali's and don't have one, start saving now. The best would be one of the new BM's with a fat bowie blade. That will be next.

cool. I'm saving for one myself. All I've got are cheapies. I've been looking at all of the new balis that are out right now that everyone keeps talking about. There's a lot of good ones, but I've been wanting a BM42 for a while.

What is the difference between the model 42 and the newer models?

blade shape, and one model has black powder-coated handles, but all the handles are still titanium, i think.
oh, and one is latchless, *edit: and that may be an option on production models, like serrations or blade finish. there's another thread about this somewhere...

Chung San's right. After I got my first one I got a rainbow one and then a Anodized one and then a second one for my left hand. Thats 4 so far
