Please excuse the fingerprint smudges and flash.

Nice looking card

Interesting pic - creates mystery rather than committing to photos of your knives while you develop your style and skills.

Wife's name 420@yahoo.com ?
Seriously ?

The photo of the smoke & the 420 address taken together don't up to professional knife-maker.
You have to make up your mind whether you are selling Marijuana or knives

You couldn't get a FreemanTactical@gmail.com ?

Details matter man.

I've had that email address since 03. Kathur was the name my high priestess gave me when I was initiated in 98.

"Um, what's a 3% er" is a question that a potential customer might ask. If you tell them it has something to do with your being "initiated in 98.", that would probably open another avenue of questions. If that's how you want to do it, ok. But I would imagine that someone that was told something like " Well, it is associated with me being initiated in 98..." might walk away.

OK, so what is a 3% er? Agree about the email.

Not tryin to give you any crap, but
Initiated into what?

I agree with all of the above.

And I know this is just a bunch of shop-talk dudes... but customers and collectors come into this forum a lot more than you may think. Not even taking the effort to get the fingerprint off the business card, or rotate the photo... WILL make buyers wonder how much effort you put into your fine edged weapons and tools.

Seems like the cart has gotten ahead of your horse.

Let me expand on this a bit more too.

Business is business & religion, politics, pot don't mix at all.

Let's just imagine you have developed fantastic knifemaking skills & your work is highly sought after.

Lot's of the folks who buy knives & guns are hard right Christians, or law enforcement.
What if you lose sales because your views just don't sit right with them?

How can a LEO hand that card to a peer, or his boss and recommend you without making himself look bad?
If a LEO ignores it is the best scenario for you.
What if they decide to watch you or anyone you know because of that?

What if this leads you to get clinked for pot possession -
Just a fine? not that simple
When they find these business cards & watch your youtube videos where you mention shanking a Mother F'er?

The judge has the ability to hit you with a lifetime prohibition of weapons including knives...then what?

I say sign up for a separate email address like I typed above.
If I get a reply from that address - it's going in the spam folder, because I l know who FreemanTactical is, but Kathur420? no clue

Reserve the domain you want now, it's pretty cheap $20 $30 per year - even if you have no website

Professionalism and details.

Charlie,

I think the count nailed it... makes a lot of sense....

I don't think anyone's trying to slam you just point out things you may not have noticed, kinda like looking in from the out door:)..

I like the smoke, however there needs to be a double barrel somewhere under it... :D

good name !!! I'll have to agree that the 420 and FTW thing will kill it for you... maybe not to a couple road dogs that want a knife or two but the more you develop your skills you won't want this hovering over you...

take care...

I would have used a different email, and secured a domain instead of referring to the YouTube channel.

I was involved with a local coven that has long since disbanded. 3%er is a reference to Mike Vanderboughs (sp?) blog and the growing patriot movement. As far as a domain name, I don't intend my operation to ever get THAT big. As for the getting busted for pot possession, I'm a legal pot patient with the card.

Still a dumb move IMO. Clean it up, register a domain name for the $8-$10 and get yourself an email address. Forward the domain to your YouTube page.

I'm looking at it from a Rob Dalton perspective. If people don't like it they don't have to buy my knives.

And they won't , do what you want in your personal live but there is a very small market for pot smoking "true patriots" or whatever who want knives , you have a combat infantryman's badge this is a no hook private move think of it that way . I don't know how long you served or where but as the above posters pointed out it's pretty silly.

If you don't care if people buy your knives, it's pointless to waste time and money on business cards. If you just want them to hand out to folks who you already know share your proclivities and beliefs, then don't be coy about it. Put witches, minutemen, pot leaves or whatever you want on there.

Getting cards made was the wife's idea.

+1, people demand professionalism first and foremost. Also, it doesn't matter if your a card carrying member of anything when the feds get ahold of you! when they do, say goodbye to all your guns and other toys! The trick is to fly below the radar.
