The little brown truck just came and brought my 2 serial numbered Chinooks to me. They are some awesome blades. One of them is plain edge and one is partially serrated. This is one hefty blade fellows. These knives are so smooth. I can't wait to use one of these babies. I think I will go chop down a tree.

Do you find yourself walking in circles because of the weight or are they not that bad?

Hey Rockspyder! Yes they are out but just to people in the collector's club. If you like Spydies you should join. I opted for the variations so I get the plain and serrated blades.

Hey Ferret! This is one heavy knife but I don't mind it. I still can't wait for the Gunting.

Hey, I found these, or at least a description of what is coming, at 1SKS (I think it was). It said they are lock-back.

I thought they were going to be the new compression lock.

Yeah, they are lockbacks. A compression lock would have been neat. It is still an awesome knife. I haven't quit carrying mine yet.
My wife is getting jealous of it.

I saw one today at Beck's It's HUGE. I couldn't get over how thick the blade is. Definitly a Hoss.

jbroome, thanks for the tip on Becks. I ordered mine Sat and should have it Tuesday. Since NCBlades is selling off one of his, I am trying to work a deal on that one as well.

I've had more paper cuts than cuts from knives, but the knives are QUICKLY gaining!

Oh well. Another must have. Looks kind of like a renegade or blackhawk on steroids.

Well, I received Chinook #49 from Beck's today. I must say, I am very pleased! I have been waiting for this knife since I saw the first pictures way back in 99 and a steel handled prototype at the 99 Blade show. It is everything I have been expecting. I didn't really have the money to spend, but I am glad I went ahead and bought it. I also worked a trade for NCBlades Chinook! Yeeha!,, I am a happy camper. I do hope Spyderco has plans for a smaller version. I need a small knife now. It seems I have misplaced my Wegner Jr.
