Initial impressions are good.. it's thick and sturdy in the hand. I feel like I could chop through a car with this thing. the spine is about 3 times as thick as my cold steel roach belly. Came with a nice brown leather sheath, with a different design than what is shown on the website(the black leather sheath). knife fits very snuggly and securely into the sheath and doesn't wiggle loose. I took a few pictures to post as soon as I can figure out how to get them off my camera(lost the USB cord). This is a new knife, quality control sticker in the box says march 2010

really interested to see how the micarta version turns out. Could put this puppy on the top of my list depending on the street price.

I have the wood handled one, Tough as hell knife. I am waiting word on a couple more Condors.

I am really curious to see how people like these compared to their other bushcraft knives. Thanks for posting!

mircata version? any more info on this? I'd be tempted to grab one if it had a different handle.

Their new catalog shows a Micarta version, I would have to have one too. The Bushlore is shaped like we are used to seeing bush craft knives, the Bushcraft however has a very non pointy point. I like them anyway, just a bit unusual.

MSRP of $74.99

To the best of my knowledge the micarta-handled knives and machetes aren't yet available. :)

I have the wood handled version.. personally, I prefer the wood, something more warm and personal about it. Guess I'm a little crazy for assigning emotions to my knives:)

I like the wood one that I have, it would be worth having both. Just kinda crazy that way.:D:D

I so can't wait to pick one up myself. I've got one in transit. :)

hows the edge on thease things? are they convex, scandi or what? also was it sharp when recieved?

full convex and shaving sharp, nc527. I haven't heard the micarta mentioned at all or what the relative price will be. Ken, it's not wierd at all. I don't care what you say I have an affinity for certain knives that seem to have more soul, they just click with me. I like using them more despite design, steel, overall quality or performance, etc. I definately entangle certain knives with emotion.
