Hoorah! Beautifull piece of equipment. Can't wait to hook it up.

Unfortunately, I live in Tonawanda, NY and have been without power for the past week. Most of my time has been spent clearing downed trees, putting logs on the fireplace, and bailing out the sump. (gotta get a generator but I spent all my money on a Coote) Hopefully, next week I can get it set up and running. (Dang, did ya ever get a toy for Christmas and didn't have the batteries to use it?) :grumpy:

I here you, but you will find it worth the wait. A very nice machine that will give lots of trouble free use.

Cootes are good machines. I like the simplicity, they are very honest in that if something is wrong its obvios. I used one for about 5 years, had it set up with a triple drive and slave pulley, inverse. Net effect was a 3 speed grinder. You can also set them up with a centrifugal *sp?* type clutch pulley on the drive side. This gives you variable speed by controlling the tension on your motor plate (simpler than it sounds).

Hope you guys get power on soon! Im very familiar with trying to live with 0 electricity.

Yup, powers back; still looks like a war zone though. You never realize how many trees you have until they're all laying on your front yard.

I'm setting it up with the 3 step pulleys and a 1hp motor from HF. Should do the job nicely.

Congrats! Been using mine for just over a year and love it.

Tonawanda (and all the Northtowns) look like someone with REALLY big lopping shears came through and took off all of the treetops... driving through the area was the first time I've ever encountered what I genuinely felt was 'severe weather'. As dmarx will certainly attest to, we get plenty of snow... and sometimes it's bad enough to shut things down for a time. I'm not sure there's EVER been a time where the damage was such as this freak storm has wrought.

On a lighter note, good to hear you're doing well and that the grinder will be up and running soon!
