Got my CQC-14!!!

Today I received my first Emerson - the CQC-14. At first, I was a bit caught off guard by the snubby blade. However, it's really grown on me, and the handle is about ideal for my hand. It's a little stiff to open, and I'm not used to the wave yet but it'll just take time, I'm sure. I think it's safe to say that this will definitely be my EDC - at least when I'm not messing around in the yard or other more serious tasks (have a Strider WP for that).

The bottom line is that I am very happy with this knife. Well done, Ernie!

The action will become smoother as the knife breaks in so no worries there

Yeah, I have a lot of plans for this knife. Lots of chores around the home/yard that I plan to attack with the 14. Gonna put it through its paces and see how it holds up (as if there's anything to worry about!).
