got my m16-13m in last wed and have been playing with it since.. first day of playing i cut my finger without even knowing it while trying it out on my left hand. The knife is decent and something i plan on carrying daily when not in school. My fingers have been kind of worn out by the flipper and unlocking it has been the only real pain when i flick it out too hard. So what should I use to clean my knife and how often and what kind of oil to use on it?

Welcome to the Forums. Your fingers will get used to the roughness of the flipper and lock in a short enough time (the skin will toughen up). A Tuf Cloth is good for wiping the blade down (basically a rag impregnated with Tuf Glide oil/protectant). I'm not certain what's best for lube, since some lubes work better for metal washers, some work better for plastic washers, and I don't know which the M16 uses. Tuf Glide is probably appropriate for either. Both can be found at most any knife shop. The 13M is Black-Teflon coated, so tarnish shouldn't be a problem. Avoid metal polishes, which can remove the finish.
