** Problem fixed - it was probably buffing compound. I got rid of it with some cleaner.

Here's a pic of the cultie with my new favorite handgun - the HK P7M8 !!:D

Ok, so my cultie just arrived and it's awesome! Upon further inspection I noticed there is a burn mark or something on the sweet satin blade.

Thanks!

Try calling the shop and see what they say. They are very good and will help you out.

Is it definitely a burn? Sometimes there is some crap on the blade that will rub off. I've seen pics of that near the tip primarily. If it won't rub off, call the shop. They'll hook you up.

Spray it with a little WD40 or penetrating oil and take a cloth to it, it might be the stropping compound they use.

I would imagine that it is buffing compound. . . .Try rubbing a little WD-40 on it and see if it doesn't disappear. . . . If not, we will make it right and buy you a beer for the hassle!!!. . . I, in fact, am willing to drink the beer for you if Carling doesn't trip your trigger!!!. . . . See?. . . I'm a giver!. . . .

Sorry for the problem. . . that blade NEVER should have left this shop. . . We're a little "old school" around here. . . . so, please tell me who the inspector was on that knife and I will personally slap them in the head with a 2X4. . .

Jerry :D

Thanks for all the tips! I'm hoping it'll just come off with some WD40.... I'll try a little later today.

Thanks for the offer Jerry, I hope to have a couple of beers with the whole crew on here soon enough. and yeah, it's #13, haha!! :D

Jerry, you need to hire separate janitors and Q.A. people, or are you #13?

Could be crud from customs. Sometimes the inspectors have been known to be *ahem* a little eager.

I think Jerry takes on the role of #13 after he has had a little too much Johnny Walker Blue :eek: :D

So far #13 has been good to me

Ha, I've got an inspected by #13 SOW - with a blemish on the DC finish that the seller said came from factory.

Not anything i'd return it over - but still. #13 - we're on to you!

Glad to hear it's fixed. We're all breathing a big sigh of relief, especially#13.

Glad ya got rid of the mark... Sweet knife, ain't it??

....................................................
Go easy on #13... Don't use the 2x4 THIS time, Jerry, LOL! ALL of the knives I've received with that inspector number on the sheath have been A-ok ... This must've been a fluke, no one is perfect!! ...Maybe needs more JWB...??? :) :D

13 Huh?. . . . Bad Dealio. . . This will be the fifth shot I've taken to the head this week from a 2X4!!!!

No JWB for me!!!!!!! :grumpy:

Let's Drink!!!!
