Just got my ship date for the Air Force. Feb 9th, 2010 just 3 days after my 24th bday. I got air traffc control as my job. Can't wait!

Cool man. Good luck in your new career. As you know you have a really critical job to perform. It should be really exciting :thumbup:
 
Nice training for a good paying job if you get out. High stress in the civilian world if at a major airport. Are ATCs still known as "Scope Dopes"? The best of luck to you.

Heading to boot camp for 8 weeks in San Antonio then 15 weeks in Biloxi, Mississippi for tech school. This New England boy is gunna be sweatin in the south!! Haha
 
I don't post here much, but I read a lot. Had to chime in. I've been a controller in the AF since '03. I'd be happy to answer any questions I can, and if I can't, I can find the answer for you.
