And I'm pumped!

In case any of you are in the dark about this new netbook (read: very small laptop), check them out here.

Now I haven't had it that long, so I can't give anything more than my initial impressions.

I got the 16gig SSD, 1g RAM, bluetooth (w/ bluetooth cordless logitech mouse), XP, and black color.

It's so small and light weight, very comfortable in your lap. The keys are actually not to bad to use, I starting typing pretty much right away (real typing, no need to huntn'peck). The boot up time is under 30s navigating is pretty quick (not as fast as my PC, but that is to be expected). The heat this little guy generates is very minimal, unlike other laptops I have used (could almost fry an egg on those things).

On a side note, I am very pleased with the Logitech V470 bluetooth mouse. It is a great portable mouse that (if you have bluetooth laptop) allows you to connect use it without the need for a USB receiver (very cool). The sensitivity is high and despite its small size, feels great in the hand.

I wish I could compare this to other netbooks on the market, but I have not handled any of them.

Over all I am thus far pleased with my purchase. It isn't a powerhouse (read: gamer) laptop, but it fills its role well.

A guy in my Writing class as well as a distant friend both have the Asis eePc's they're pretty cool. It sounds like they fill a good niche for ultra portability, how do you like the screen size? They always seems too small for me, I mean my iPhone isn't my favorite due to small screen on the internet.

I'm looking forward to your comments on it in the future. I've been looking at the ASUS and Sylvania. Didn't know Dell was an option. Thanks for the link!
