I just got my ebony Mnandi from Plazacutlery and I am very impressed, perfect fit and finish as expected from a CRK. I was also very impressed by the service from Dan over at Plazacutlery, he does treat his customers well.

I just exchanged the Strider Pt I ordered which I was not impressed with at all, I guess I just have different taste than some.

So, I would like to know what everyone's favorite inlays are on their CRK's, both Sebenza's and Mnandi's? I would really like to get an Arizona ironwood mnandi next.

The Mnandi will serve you well. Black looks great on the Mnandi, as does the very light colors. PT is a nice knife also, but if you like tight fit and finish with higher end handle scales, Chris Reeve provides this in spades. CRK won yet again in the quality manufacturing area at this year's Blade show.

I'm partial to Inlays made of Giraffe Bone, Mammoth Ivory (both inner and outter cuts), Snakewood, Box Elder, Camel Thorn and Zebrawood. ;)

Box Elder is my favorite, but I have a sweet small Sebenza with nicely figured Desert Ironwood as well.

Excellent score with the Mnandi. My favorite inlay material is redwood burl.

I picked up my Blackwood Mnandi from Plaza Cutley as well. Great guys over there. I got my 3 sebbies from them too.

Hi Steven,

Great catch you made. My favorite inlays are: snakewood, box elder, mammoth ivory (inner and outer cut), and desert ironwood.

Another alternative you might consider is adding a damascus blade to your Mnandi. If you buy a damascus blade for an existing model, you will have both S30v and damascus blades that can be used interchangeably.

Damascus + Ebony is an elegant combination, one I've thought about. At the other end of the spectrum, I retrofitted my Mammoth Ivory Mnandi with a damascus blade and that is also a killer combo.
