It to 49 hours 19 minutes to receive it, but it finally arrived. I was lookin' forward to it, can you tell? I wanna thank you fellow forumites whose postings help convince me that it was a good'n. And it is! New Graham was just like everyone said-courteous, accomodating, and prompt.
I could blather on, but I have a pocket to shred. Thanks everyone. (Gush, gush...):D

What'd you do - trade in your CAMERA to get it?

Where are the pictures, man?

You get no jealousy until you post some photos. :p

Oh, and congratulations!

Thanks-

Quick update...already used 2 band-aids sent by NG!:)
Tried to take the knife off my pocket lip and put down in my pocket...it half 'waved' without me noticing. My middle finger got caught in between the handle and the blade. Yeah, it's sharp...I didn't even feel it...it took blood dripping off my hand to realize it! Makes me wonder-does Spyderco make a waved plastic spoon? :D

Yeah it does take some getting used to. Every now and then I forget I'm carrying the waved version. I pull it out and don't reallize that it is already opened. So far no cuts, but give it a few more weeks and I'm sure I'll need the band aids.

Does the Spyderco wave perform better than the Emerson wave? Even with a lot of practice, I never got to the point with my Commander where I felt 100% confident with it, especially under stress (which is when I would need it). As a matter of fact, I just sold my Commander, partly for that reason.

Regards and thanks

IMHO, yes, without a doubt the Endura/Delica opens "easier" then an Emerson Commander. I have both the waved Endura and Delica and I had a Commander. I still have the Spyderco's but the Emerson was sold LONG ago. The Spyderco's perform better for me. Your results may vary.

I've used a Spyderco Endura wave since it came out a while ago, and the wave is so effective that it doesn't matter what sort of shorts/pants I'm wearing, if I pull that knife from my pocket, the blade will open all the way, no problem.

To tell the truth, the wave has spoiled me towards other (even more expensive) knives. I used to give some thought towards ordering a Manix or Native, but now, every time the thought comes up I think "but it won't open automatically when I pull it from my pocket..."

Absolutely wonderful knife. :D

Update-

I am still in love with this knife.

End report.

:D I just ordered one today from NGK and can't wait for it to arrive. My wife thinks I'm nuts to be so excited about "just a knife".

Glad you are enjoying yours, I will continue to be jealous until mine arrives.:grumpy: :)

I got my Endura Wave this week and I love it. In fact, I just ordered another one and a Delica Wave!!

I managed to get both a waved Endura & Delica at the same time. I like the WE so much I haven't even taken the WD out of the box yet.
