Got off my hill and went for some supplies yesterday and had a triangle box waiting for me :D

It has a nice tapered tang to it:

It cuts well too,I went after a downed tree across the road from my place, only one problem was the right side rivets were sticking up enough to hurt so I took the dremel to it and sanded them down and polished them-fixed.

Another good one

Chops well, half inch thick branches got sliced with two, three whacks and some smaller went bye-bye with one slice,a bit of chopping on the main section shows it chops about like a smaller Khuk.

Just an interesting thing about my knife I noticed, all of the HI stuff I've bought has had the ubiquitous "UB" stamp which is for Uncle Bill but this one..doesn't,somewhat odd but I suppose there have been others so unmarked.

And I'm always curious as to which Kami made what I get, this one is...heck I think we had a post on the Kami's and their marks but I forget who's who but this looks like the guy who uses a beer mug? he still around?

Young shers mark and tirthas sometimes get confused. Both are still working for H.I.
Here is the current active kami list and their marks, hope this helps you to nail it down.

It's Tirtha's work AKA "beer mug" just my satisfying my curiosity and maybe learning to read another language a bit.

The knives I have from Tirtha, including a Farmcata, show four symbols/script on the opposite side of the blade from his name, which If I'm not mistaken indicate "Himalayan Imports" and "U.B.", so U.B. is not forgotten!:)

The markings on the khuks are primarily for the benefit of the owner/user. I believe it was Yangdu who once commented that some of the kamis need to be reminded to put the marks on, and that some of them don't quite understand what the big deal is.

You are spot on suicycoprowler. Customarily, most khukuri are not marked.
Only H.I. marks their khukuri in such a manner. Also most kami's (and probably nepalis) wonder why we want such such quality and high finish/polish. To them these are working tools and all this is quite unecessary.

I'm a bit like the them-I like the rough finish, just less hassle then dirtying up a pretty blade! only polished one I have right now is the Tarwar and the Biltong.
