So as I posted about a week ago, I ordered a Fehrman Final Judgement and it arrived today. My initial impressions were..(and keep in mind I'm not a pro.)
Very fine work! I got the coated blade and it was still a bit sticky, but the finish on this knife is very good. Though the coat is a bit thick, this can be good.
The handle fits well in hand and the knife feels somewhat light and easy to wield. It is insanely sharp!! The cutting edge is very broad and the point is also extremely sharp for being kind of a "modified Tanto" style.
I'm going to give a couple days to let the sticky stuff finish drying, then may take it out to thrash it a bit.
Anyway, these are just my first initial impressions, everything beyond this may fall on a knowledge of 3V steel and how tough it is. But the knife is fine! As a survival knife, if I had to rely on this, I'd be very confident with it.
