Finally got my first Becker Knife BK2 during this last cold snap. Many of my knife acquisitions in recent years have been ESEE, but I figured it was time to try one from BK&T. I must admit I had reservations as I wasn't quite sure what the grips were going to be like in person. Damned if I don't actually like the grips. Excellent shape for hard use. This is definitely one heck of a fine knife, no doubt about.

And after some use.

I really dig the hell out of the BK2. Can't wait to wear the finish off more so I can then strip and polish the blade.

Congratulations! I think the BK2 and BK7 are great knives. I need to get my hands on the BK9 someday soon...

It will turn into your favorite knife before you know it. It's the fun factor built into it. The grivory grips are outstanding for a hard working knife. It's almost like......like.. they knew what they were doing!

I cant get an ESEE 5 because i love my BK2 sooooo much, such a great knife from splitting to chopping to food prep! :)

AWESOME POST!!!!!!BK2!!!!!!!

It is one of the best knives around. Not just for the money, but for everything in the "knife needs" world. A guy could own just that BK2 and it will serve him for all his knife needs. Ta hell with that, I like knives, but I likes ma BK2 tha most. Only knife I love almost as much as the Campanion, is my ESKabar.

Great pics, great post, and great knife. I'm glad you got it.

Indeed it is. The ESKabar might be the next one I pick up.

Light work

I'd hate to see your heavy work. :D Really is a great knife isn't it?

About two weeks worth. Though I wasn't exactly babying it. :D Some knives I have to ease into using them outright for some reason, but right out of the box the BK2 to was screamin' to go to task.
