It's a BK-14. MKK's BK-14, actually.Yep, MKK is a pretty cool dude. He let me have his 14 free of charge. I've got a small problem though. The sheath is messed up. I don't know if it is MKK's fault or Ka-Bar's. I tried to wear it around my neck and the knife would not stay in because it has to little retention. I asked MKK if I could take a look at his BK-11 sheath and I put the 14 in the 11 sheath and the retention was great. Can anyone tell me what I should do?

thanks guys.

Kuke.

Now I feel good about saying you're a cool dude, you have a Becker, that confirms it! pix man, pix.

Tell you what to do.

Call Ka-Bar, and tell them.

You will then get a new sheath.

OR---

Somebody here might be nice enough to give you one.

AND---

He will have pics eventually, don't worry about it.

You've seen my 14 before, so you know what it looks like.

Doesn't matter, it is a new to someone knife and we must see it for quality control porpoises.

As far as the sheath, you might look in there to make sure nothing has gotten stuck in it. Someone had that happen awhile back and their knife wouldn't go into the sheath all the way. Turns out a small piece of plastic had gotten lodged inside and was keeping the sheath from working properly.

Can anyone tell me what I should do?

Congrats, Kuke!

Yes, this is an opportunity. The 11/14 sheaths were never that great.
Either:
1) order a sheath from one of our esteemed makers
2) Order a $6 piece of 0.063" kydex and squeeze your own. There's enough in a 12" square sheet for probably 4 attempts. Modding these things is a tradition. No complicated tools are required for kydex work, though making a dedicated press of some sort helps. See recent threads - Thrillbilly and Trailbum have gone hog-wild with it as first-timers and posted pix of their tools, IIRC. More work, but educational and satisfying. Then make one for MKK too. ;-)

Yup, this was "supposedly" one of Thrillbilly's first sheaths.

Do it man, all the cool kids are! The option of supporting our fine craftsmen is also a great idea. I own a few kydex from some here. Also leather if you wanna go that route, good too.

IIRC that one's lucky #7 Murph... LOL

FREE 14s!!! Now that is something I can support! Nice work MKK and welcome to the BeckerWorld Kuke (who is Awesome I hear) ;)
