Got my first Benchmade, and I don't like it....

I freaking love it! :P (see what I did there?)

I had been curious about Benchmade for a while now but didn't see much in their lineup that really moved me.
That is, until I was poking around on KnifeWorks and spotted a gorgeous black & blue folder I somehow knew I had to have.
Truth be told, I wish it was red & black, but blue & black looks pretty damn nice too.

I couldn't dig this knife more. It opens so smoothly, it's kinda ridiculous. I love the axis lock. The one-handed open & close reminds me of a ParaMilitary 2 once the pivot is perfectly dialed in.
I think it's safe to say this will not be my last Benchmade.

So without further ado, some pics:

Nice choice. The 810-1401 is one of my favorite BMs for sure.

You seem to have pretty good taste. :)

Sweet looking knife. Now I gotta get one myself. Thanks a lot, lol

Great choice on your first Benchmade. Have yet to have a knife in M390. Will hopefully in the near future. Welcome to the cult of the butterfly!:D

Nice knife and also nice use of a Harbor Freight wooden tool chest. That is what I keep my knives in too.

Thanks, It's worked well for me so far. I've got more in there, but that's my Faves drawer :p

I got an e-mail from knife works yesterday that my 710 Blue/Black M390 had shipped. I don't own too many benchmades but this will be my third 710. The design is awesome and I do like the axis lock. They do make some quality knives.

If things between the 810 Contego and I keep going so well, I might have to look into the 710...
$200 for a limited knife in M390 is pretty reasonable.

The 810 is easily my favorite knife. So much so that I have 3 of them. Now I have a lot of nice knives that just in a drawer because that big piece of M390 just has to go in my pocket.

I don't own a a Benchmade yet, but with posts like this I'm gonna spend more and more. The virus is spreading .
