picked it up at www.knifeworks.com

$65.00

Elishewitz 880S Dark Star

i know it's a discontinued model, because Allen has left Benchmade, but it was just too good of a deal.

a tad larger than my normal carry (kershaw vapor II) but i'll get used to it.

the g-10 scales are a bit rough at this point. anyone know if they will wear down from a pocket over time?

nothing to do w/ knives.. but i am an avid firearms freak as well (as i'm sure most of us here at bladeforums are :)), and used to use www.thefiringline.com, but they stopped the site. it's still there, but not active.
anyone know of any others out there?

Congrats on your first Benchmade. I've never handled that particular model, but I'm sure you'll love it. As to thefiringline, most of the people from there ended up at www.thehighroad.org.

They should wear into your pocket as you carry the blade. The Darkstar is a very nice, classy EDC. BTW, use the hell out it :D

I had a Benchmade but unfortunately I sold it to buy a couple of fixed blades. I like the Axis lock since I am a lefty, right handed liner locks are killers for me.

I hang out on ar15.com and falfiles.com I used to hang out on glocktalk.com but I am not to fond of the owner or his associates so is stopped.

thanks to all for the kind words about the BM880.
and thanks for leading me to the gun forum lights, i feel i have been lost all this time without TFL.

thanks again

I saw that you carry the Vapor 2 as a EDC, me too, ha it for a long while, love it, the slimness of it is what I like most, looking for my next one as well.paul
