Basic 11, got it from Highrisk who is an awesome seller. I will apologize to Highrisk now, it's going to the woods. It just begs to be used. Going to order a sheath for it Friday.

Sorry the pic is so crappy. I'll try and get a better one later. This one should help the 8 weeks pass faster while I wait for the TGLB.

SWEET! After getting a B-8 in the last Gaanzaa, the Basics are on my list to buy when funds permit.

Congratulations on your B-11!!!

Wow, congratulations on a great first Busse! My first one was a Basic 9 in late 2001, and is still one of my favorites after trying many others. I love the Basic series, largely due to the Resiprene-C handles that I find very comfortable. If I could only keep one Busse, it might be a Basic 11. I hope it gives you many years of enjoyment!

Res-C is very grippy indeed. After I sleep some I may go to our wood pile and beat on some to see what it will do. This knife is a serious chopper with some nice weight up front. Can't wait to see what they does to my wood pile. The stuff I got is real knotty, and tough as hell to split. Judging by the weigh I'm thinking it will bite pretty deep. After I it the TGLB in and sheathed I'm going on the hunt for a Basic 3. Really like the Res-C. With I could have it on my Hammer.

You should consider using a low grit sandpaper on the shoulder of the blade, where the coating stops and the bare cutting edge starts. This will reduce friction and help that fantastic blade bite way deeper.

Be sure to take pictures of that knotty pile of wood before during and afterwards.

I will. I have no idea what it is, but its some tough wood. Splitting it sucks. Just thinking about it bursts blood vessels in my eyes.

Don't apologize to me. Tthat is what she is for. Now beat the coating of of her and take some pictures.

Congrats on your new blade!!! Make sure you take lots of pics of that bad boy in use :D

Yawn. I need a little more time and some coffee. I'll poison skeeter bugs and dig out some knotty nasty wood and dull this finish some.

Okay, back yard pounding went good. In the end, I backed off, not the knife. I'm just figuring out photo bucket, and I'm posting from a phone so bear with me.

This was pounced into a nasty knot. The knife actually bent to the point that I figured I lost it. The loud pop I heard didn't help either. I'm trying to get those, but here is where I'm started. I think this wood is oak.

I had to drive a wedge in to get the knife out, and yes, there is a rematch in the future. Mayhap this weekend.

P.S. Ya, those are my volacaraptor claws. Don't judge me.
