Got my first custom! Yuna mini-hard 2 (small choil)

Just got my first Yuna Yesterday, and all I can say is WOW.

I'm super impressed with the quality and detail Yun puts in all of his blades, this thing is way nicer in person than in the pictures and its built like a rock!

I wanted a more plain rugged look so I chose olive green G10 with the lines pattern, I'm super happy on how it turned out.

Wow that is insanely nice! The pivot looks really cool and so do the gems in the pocket clip. Just gorgeous! I have a few questions if you don't mind:

1) What is the deal with the pivot sticking out on the Ti side? Is it made that way so the piece of titanium under it can serve as a lockbar stabilizer?

2) What blade steel did you have used?
 
God He makes some beautiful knives. The Hard 1 fighter blade m390 is my grail (One of many)

The Ti under the pivot is a lockbar stabilizer.
 
congrats! That's an awesome first custom! I really want to add one of Yun's knives to my collection eventually. I like that patterned G10.
 
Yun sure makes a great knife,got on the waiting list for my second one a few weeks ago.Don't be afraid to use it either,they are pretty and tough!
 
Thanks guys :) He sure does make some incredible knives, I highly recommend you get one if you get the chance. Unfortunately he has quite the waiting list though

1) The pivot piece that sticks out acts as a lock bar stabilizer, so yes thats what it's for.

2) I believe he uses pure ZDP189 now, it's super sharp and feels very solid.
 
When I ordered my EQ-2 in early 2011, Yun was using pure ZDP-189. However, when I received it a year later, I noticed he was primarily offering M390. I have a Mini-Hard 1 with small choil in M390 on order from June. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the pics.

Wow that's just plain gorgeous, the pocket clip and pivot design really just look fantastic to me

Good to know Lev! He sent me an Email telling me that this one is pure ZDP-189, that's interesting he's using M390 now too. Either way his quality is top notch. Thanks for checking it out! :)
