So I got my first Delica today and it's every bit as perfect for EDC as every review has led me to believe. After a failed attempt in the Exchange, I was gifted this bad boy by another member AlwaysTomboy! And she even threw in that little Sarge Boy Scout Barlow because I didn't have one. Many thanks to my new friend! Great people in the BF community!

Some say the delica feels cheap. I have been using a delica super blue for work for years, I beat the crap out of it, cutting half inch drywall, dropped it in paint, covered with drywall mud. Never chipped or rolled a edge. Light weight, thin, ambidextrous great price, great knife. Nice Barlow also.

People that say they feel cheap have never held one.....

Congrats on a great knife! I love Spyderco's FRN models. Simple, functional, light, sharp...what's not to love?!

Congrats, JupiterPaladin! The Delica is probably my favorite modern folder. I carry it quite often. It's just the perfect size and feels great in the hand. That barlow is mighty fine, as well. Good job, AlwaysTomboy!

Congratulations JP! Now you know why the Delica has so many advocates. It's about as perfect of an edc as can be found. Hope you are able to enjoy it for many years and someday maybe even pay it forward.
AlwaysTomboy what a generous gift!!! Thanks for making my day when hearing of your lavish gesture!!

Hey, you're very welcome, JP. Always happy to spread the Spyderco love.

It's the Delica that was wearing my black and green Li'l Para scales before I got the Wharnie Delica. I put stock liners and scales back on and sent it off to JP. Disclosed that it had been lightly used and disassembled prior, of course, but I knew I wouldn't use it and the Delica is definitely a knife that wants to be used rather than sitting idle. Win win for both of us. :)

Total respect on all levels .
If you have been an observer of this forum over the last couple of years you will know about my enthusiasm for the Delica .
Given a choice something on the Delica platform is all I carry .

That was nice of Alwaysatomboy to send you that knife. The Delica is my favorite knife of any brand and any cost (I have a lot of knives to choose from, too). Enjoy it. It will not let you down. It is light enough to carry all day, every day.

Per Internetz Rule No. 1: Pics, or it didn't happen! :D

IMHO: The Delica is one of the most ideal "Golf Casual" workplace EDC blades. The new Wharncliffe really looks like a winner too.

I phone and I pad won't let me post pictures on this forum? Strange, I got to figure it out soon, I'll be doing a 5,000 post giveaway here very soon. 👍

Now you can get rid of all your knives because you wont need them or carry them anymore. Delica is a great knife. Next you need a ffg.

The FFG model looks sexy too, but I'm quite happy with the sabre grind. The first thing I did was to touch up the edge and it seems that the edge bevel and my current sharpening skill match up pretty well. I can shave with it! Now if I could just quit playing with it!
