Today was the day, after waiting a few months I got my Dozier Arkansas Toothpick. I ordered it with the Double edge and with CF handles. Out of the box it was razor sharp. It is one of the sharpest knives i own and the point is perfect for very fine cutting chores. By the way this knife cuts you would think it was bigger, so dont let its size scare you away, this is one small knife that cuts like crazy. The CF handles have a awesome look to them, some of the best CF i have seen on a knife handle. The sheath is great too, i got the horizontal sheath. Overall it seems to be a great knife, I will report back when i have had a chance to test it more.

When they came up with the cliche "like a hot knife through butter" they were talking about Bob's knives.....They do cut!

Well Done. It's fair to say that you'll probably be disappointed in many of your other knives (present & future).

Not only does the Dozier cut like crazy, it also holds an edge quite well. The D2 has a "toothy" feel that grabs onto what you are cutting. I have found that stropping the Dozier knife will achieve an even more keen edge that sails through most things you cut. Also, the Dozier excels at cutting meat - no big surprise there.

I agree, Bob's knives are great. I carry a straight perosnal with me every day. It is the sharpes knife I own and is so easy to carry in the horizontal sheath. I think the knives are so good and cut so well that the fact that Bob makes some of the best kydex sheaths I have ever seen often gets overlooked. The combo of great knife and great sheath at the prices Bob asks is amazing.

Once you have one, you find that you just NEED to have another! Congrats on your new Dozier, the arkansas toothpick is a sweet knife.

The funny thing is, I've found the opposite to be true but for the same reason. (Wow is that an incoherent sentence!) I got my first Dozier and have had a hard time since working up any interest in another fixed blade. I've finally managed it, by going for blades that are significantly longer or shorter, but I still haven't bought another mid-range fixed blade since. My Dozier Texas #6 (a modified #6 with a 5-1/2" blade) has totally spoiled me for anything else.

I will post a pic this weekend, im am going to write a review and it will invlove pics, you guys have to see this CF, it looks sweet! I used the knife alot at work today and cut a few hundred feet worth of triple layer cardbord, enough to kill the razor edge on my CRKT M-18 which is what i usualy use to cut up boxes and cardbord. And after i got home i tested it to see if it was still sharp and it will still shave, and after 5 min with a strop it is now even sharper than when i got it, its so sharp now the hair on my arm jumps off by itself when it sees the knife coming :)

I' d like to see a pic of that CF material as well. Bob doesn' t use it too often. You may want to post your review and pics, or even a link at the Dozer discussion forum at www.dozierknives.com
