I've had a few Classics in the past but that's all. Today I got my first large SAK, a Victorinox Farmer. I had heard a bunch of positive reviews on it in the past but didn't give it much thought. The positives finally got to me though so I picked one up, and seeing it in person really is different from seeing pictures of it. As soon as I took it out of the box I thought "Holy Crap, this thing is much prettier than the pictures!" I love it so far, and at it's price point I'm not afraid to use it and abuse it either! :D

To anyone who has been looking at one online but hasn't decided yet, at under 30 dollars - ITS WORTH IT!

Congrats! nice one ;)

but I don't know if I'd consider a Farmer (3 layers) a large SAK (that's just me) I guess compared to a Classic one might! :)

I have 4 Farmers and I luv em all; salute!

I gave my old classic away so I may have a Rambler up next on my list. I may put a pic up later. I can't seem to get a decent one with my Droid 2 and our good camera broke! :(

Alox sak's are in a class by themselves. Not only beautiful, but built like a tank.

Carl.

i dont use the saw very much, but i know it would come handy in some situations... i love farmer... got 11 of them hehehe..

The Farmer is the most practical SAK ever made IMHO. By the way, don’t baby it. The Farmer likes to work. Congrats and enjoy.

I like it so much I ordered a Cadet to go with it last night. I have not babied it. On the contrary, I took it right out to the back yard and started playing with it! I'm actually very surprised at it's edge retention after carving sticks into tooth picks and the saw works really well.
