My only problem is which one to carry, I solved problem by pumping my Spyderco UKPK out of my pocket and I carry both :D. Northfield is also my first stag handled knife.

Nice knives and good choices. The Queen barlow is a great knife, and that's coming from a GEC fan

an excellent choice in both decisions. i consider the small gec northfields more a form of jewelry since they are so beautiful. way to go dennis

Great choices! I love those little, single-bladed GEC #25s. That one's a keeper. Can you pinch the blade open without using the thumb nick?

I like that Queen too, I've had my eye on that one for a while, but money's tight these days.

Hi,

Very nice pair! The GEC looks great in it's stag. I know I really like my #25. And if I were going to add another Barlow to my collection, I'd really have to look at a Dan Burke Queen.

moonwilson: yes, I love it for that. No need for nail nick.

The Queen Barlow has moth authorative walk and talk. It makes so nice snap when pulling the blade it makes all other slipjoints feel... well inadequate when it comes to snap. I love half stops and both have them.

Congrats! You will feel an urge to buy more GEC.

*cries* I know!! Don't say it out loud though. My wallet might try to commit suicide.

Last time I accidently said words: buying Busse... my wallet almost threw itself off the balcony...

*drools over Northfield 250209 Arrowhead* :D

Those are fine looking knives. I really like that little GEC.

Those are some sweet looking knives. You'll be very pleased with both knives. For some the D2 steel on the Queen is difficult to sharpen but once it is sharpened it holds an edge for what seems forever. The stag on your GEC is stunning. What a haul!!!!! Now you'll spend most of your time trying to figure out which one to carry.

I'm not sure but the queen may be 12c27 but I'm not sure. I know some of Dan Burke models are. Either way congrats. Those are two great knives.

Hello Nate. I checked the queens reverse stamp:
Titusville PA
PH-D2

So it seems its D2 based on tang stamp

Great looking knives! I've somehow resisted purchasing both of those exact models...threads like this don't help :p
