I'm fairly new here (dragged in by my buddy I'mGatman), and after I saw one of his Busse knives, I knew I had to have one.

I recently found a snakeskin/tan SH-E on the exchange; it's now in my hands, and I'm in awe.

I've owned a variety of utilitarian knives, but this is by far the most impressive knife I've ever handled. I just sold a Cold Steel Military Classic to help fund the SH-E, and it felt downright flimsy in comparison.

I've had my epiphany. This is my first "real" knife...and it won't be my last. (refills trough with Kool Aid)

Awesome!!!

I ordered an ASH1 this morning to be a big brother to my GW. Now Amy says I have to wait 2-3 weeks for it! What am I going to do for the next 2-3 weeks?! Thanks for the pic. All I can do is look at everybody else's Busses while I wait on mine.

Great....more competition!;)

Great knife, now go beat it!:D:D:thumbup::thumbup:

Awesome score! That's one of the baddest SH-e I've seen. Congrats and welcome to the club!

I like it, you will have to give an evaluation on how you like the ergonomics of the handle. My FBM LE is my first and so far only. I would like to know how these ergo handles compare in use to the newer handles. (I know what you mean with other knives feeling less substantial I have a user Cold Steel trailmaster bowie in sanmai that used to seem very substantial, but compared to the FBMLE it is the same width at the spine, but the blade profile is not as wide.)

I once sold my plasma till I had enough money to buy a Glock (my wife and sister, and a few friends worked there as Phlebotomists, so it made for good visits too). I am now eying the local plasma bank (in a dive neighborhood) wondering if I can make my self do it again..........instead of heading to the local liquor store afterwards, I can cruise the exchange here and the Busse websites........need Infi!

I also wish I could go back and unspend a lot of the knife money I have spent, and used it on Busse. I would sure have some much cooler knives. (not to mention I could have invested and retired and been living like a king somewhere!)

Again, Busse really needs to make some folders........then there would be no need to spend money elsewhere.

Thanks all! I can't wait to take it out and use it.

I have a hog hunt planned, but it's been rescheduled a couple of times. Must've been fate: delay the hunt until I get the SH-E.
(yes, pics will be posted)

Ergo-wise, the handle could be a bit wider, as it doesn't quite "fill" my hand.

Nice scales! Don't cover those beauts up! I also have a SH-E and I think it has a very comfortable and secure hold. It's a perfect sized all-purpose knife.

Nice, Ben. For your first Busse you go all old school and make the neophytes drool. How typical of you. :D
