So to be 100% honest I think Most spyderco's look like crap and appearance matters to me but the parilitary2 grabbed my attention. I ordered one a bit back and it showed up today. Gotta say I love this knife already, super light no play great edc steel. I've got a feeling I will end up getting some of the sprint run para's now.:D

Yes, I just got one of them too and I have to completely agree.

The handle ergonomics are great. It solves all the things I don't like about the Military:

Handle too big for my hand, tip-down only pocket clip, and the finger cut-out over the liner-lock makes me uncomfortable because my index finger always wants to fall right into it. I am not knocking the design — it just doesn't work for me.

I will be looking into the upcoming sprint runs of the Para-Military2: The brown G10/S35VN and the green G10/CTS-204P.

Hi Nightnmare,

Thanx much for the plunge of faith. Hope you enjoy the knife. Much development has gone into the performance and ergos of the model.

Sometimes the selection process requires less "eye" and more "brain", at least in Spyderco's case. ;)

Many of Spydercos models look pretty funky. Until you hold then and the beauty is revealed. Glad you're happy with the new knife.

Oh I love it, used it to breakdown som cardboard today and it did fantastic. Carried it all day and didn't even notice it was there.

The Para2 really is the perfect edc for me. Just perfect. Try to snag a super steel sprint; you'll fall in love all over again!

You're in trouble now. They don't get much cheaper, but some of the Para 2 Sprints are incredible.

You've been bitten by the bug Nightmare. The Paramilitary 2 was a fine first choice. :D

Paramilitary 2 was my first locking Spyderco. Got one for Christmas and haven't put it down since. Will have to get 1 or 2 sprint runs so I can have some more color(or send it out for custom scales).

I got all kinds of customs and I carry a Spydie. Lum ZDP. Its a friend indeed.

Congrats on your new knife NightMare

I just got mine Fri. My first Spyderco, a PM2 camo. Suggestions please.
At first when I opened it and released the lock it was smooth. But some how
it seems to have tightened up on its own. The blade barley moves when I release
the lock bar and the blade has quite a bit more resistance when deploying.

I have o/c it about 150 times and this just started. Their is no dirt or debris in
the pivot. I try'ed to loosen the pivot screw a bit but that sucker would not budge.
I took the clip off and noticed it has a torx on both sides of the pivot. Do you need
a torx on each side to adjust the tension? Or is it just loctite?

I have not tried to oil it, all I have is 3 in 1 and some gun oil. What should I get for oil?

Sorry NightMare for asking on your thread, no disrespect intended.
I did not want to start a new one just for a few suggestions.

The FF, ergos, build ,lock and blade are fantastic on this knife,
I see why many here on the fourm's tout it as the perfect edc.
