I bought this knife several days ago,it's a second-hand one,but like new.I haven't had a Hinderer knife before, and I think it is a knife that both strong and exquisite when I handle it.
But there are two questions
It is a 3.5" non-flipper model with slicer grind, but I didn't find any same knife on web(both slicer grind and non-flipper 3.5),Is this knife a rare output?
The second question, as this knife come with no original box ,so I don't know the blade material,I know it's a 4th generation xm-18,the blade material could be s35vn or 20CV. Is there any simple method to distinguish between them?

Welcome to the forums. First post and it contains a non flipper xm! Awesome!

Not sure how rare it is but the non flippers are no longer being made.

No help here on determining the blade steel. Nice knife man, hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

Non-flippers are more rare than flippers, particularly in the latter generations as they made up a much smaller percentage of production run.

With respect to Gen 4 Blade Steel: Duratech 20CV (typically not marked) or Crucible CPM 20CV or Crucible CPM-S35VN (typically marked on the blade)

Nice knife. A sterile non flipper is the only way to go. Cheers!
