I really dont post here often but I had to relate my story to you about H&B forge. I ordered a knife and hawk from him for re-enacting.(tried to pay with a card and thats another story) They came right away and all I can say is that :D . Took them out directly to my stump , they hit like a ton of bricks!!!! I usually use the cheep Indian knockoffs sold by Smokey Mountain because they break so much, but those days are over! Fit and finnish on both were exceptional, even they were designed to have the crap beat of them. The hawk was really the best part. It was geat for feeling, control, and hade actually a great edge profile to it that was useful out of the box. The ballance on it was perfect, I feel that this is the one I have been looking for, and plan on buying at least 2 thowers and a camp axx from him.

I have a H&B they are very nice.... The handles can be shortened for better throwing.... You probably like it as is, but if you should happen to want to try it, place your elbow on a table with your hand pointing up, and place the hawk head down next to your arm, mark the handle at your wrist with you hand turned 90'for the cut. This will change the hawk to a far better thrower, and if you have a throwing knive the same length so much the better..... Mac
