This thing is a beast! I'm definitely very happy with it. I started off by chopping some water bottles and was quite impressed with how easily it sliced through. I have yet to have a chance to take it to some wood, I'll try to do so this weekend and take some pics, but so far I'm very impressed! Good work Becker.

This statement is considered untrue until photographic evidence can verify these claims....

Just kidding. ;) Enjoy your knife and welcome to bladeforums.

I will post pics, just give me a little time haha. I remember the "Pics when you get it or else..." responses I got in my last thread!

Yep, the BK9 is definitely a beast. There is a thread here showing pics where I chopped through a 7 inch log with mine a couple of times but that photobucket album exceeded bandwidth and the pics won't be available for four more days.

with one swipe!

Nah, it took almost six minutes of steady chopping each time. I did it with a few different knives of similar size while researching material for an article I wrote a couple of summers ago.

Congrats on the new addition to the family. I know you will enjoy her!!

No, it took 3, he had a slice of pizza in the other hand, so he couldn't steady the log. Camera was set to auto.

the pizza was also cut (into 8 slices) with one swipe

the pictures only too 1 swipe each :)

Well I cut some water bottles with it in my garage for some indoor exercise and it cut through them with one swipe if that counts!

Congrats .. I've handled both the 7 & 9 and still on the fence as to which one will be my 1st Becker.

Okay, just took the BK9 for some outside play in my back yard. Chopped some fallen branches no problem at all, even with some ice on them (WNY weather... ugh). Then I took some of the sections of those branches with some knots in them as well from where other branches had grown off and batoned them absolutely no problem. This thing's strongest point is definitely chopping though. I was able to go through a 3 or 4 inch thick branch like nothing. I guess other than a camp chopper this is also my new yard work knife!
