Here's a photo of my first ESEE blades. Just arrived today in the mail, thanks USPS!

IzulaSkull.jpg

The black Izula goes to a friend of mine for his birthday, but the gray one came with the full kit...
Looking forward to wrapping the handle and taking it out on some good backcountry hikes.

Nice picture. Be sure to put some pics up once you wrap your Izula. I was going to originally buy the black Izula, but after seeing the gray one, it made me hesitate until I saw some more pictures. I want to see how nice the gray one ends up looking once wrapped. Since you have both, which coloration are you liking more right now?

these Izula pics keep reminding me that i need to get at least one "user" Izula. I have the knifeworks orange, but its just too pretty :D

I picked the gray one to keep, since there was already a black Becker Necker (BK11) in the same shipment. Going to attempt a black paracord wrap on the Izula, should make a nice contrast. If it's not too challenging, maybe a Japanese style knife wrap with the tight cord prewrap and the 550 over the top in some kind of diamond weave. I will absolutely post up pics once I get it together.

Besure to wrap the blades with tape they tend to be blood thirsty little critters.:D

post pics when done i can kick myself for not getting the gray one. nice choice

Congrats! I really love the gray one in particular, I may have to pick one up sooner than expected... :D

Very nice! I don't think I've seen pictures of the gray Izula before. Now I'm curious as to how it looks when the coating starts to wear off... XD

What the hell is that black skull?

It's a black ceramic mug, a reproduction of an old 1960's Trader Vic's tiki mug. The top part dips in for use as a drinking vessel. I use it for coffee and rum.

As for the Izula: I'll see if I can't wear off some of the gray coating on my next camping trip. There will be more pics posted as soon as she is wrapped.

Those grey Izula's look slick.

If your friend doesn't like it I'd be more then happy to take it. :D
