After 6 months it arrived, and after paying $39.00 in brokerage fees to UPS (USPS charges nothing) I looked in the box and found my order was incomplete - I had ordrered and paid for 2 pair of short MALICE clips. Sigh.

Nice piece of equipment. Too bad the experience was so poor. I won't be repeating it.

I have bought or been sent quite a few tomahawks in the last few months. Happily most of those orders were fast, flawless and economocal.

Dave,

MALICE on the way. Sorry. I was in a hurry, and forgot to drop them in.

I am sorry you are not happy. I know it has been a long time. There are many others who are also still waiting. You paid for UPS, and it was the cheapest carrier from my end(UPS $21.68 and USPS was over $29 and you did not pay that much for shipping). I did not know you have to pay UPS fees on your end. If I had known that it worked that way, I would have shipped accordingly. I just Paypaled you $39 for your trouble.

Creating company in less than a year, and getting as many orders as quickly as I have created a lot of supply problems. All of which, I have had no control over.

I have 1250 hawks in production(which will allow me to have them in stock finally) Ands we are doing our best to be ahead of the game with sheaths.

I am sorry this whole ordeal left a bad taste in your mouth. It was NEVER my intention or my desire to have these growth pains. But we are now almost through them, and things will be much smoother.

Thanks Eddie, that shipping deal was really too bad. Thanks for the refund, it was a very classy thing to do. The quality of the product certainly makes up for the issues we have encountered. I definitely understand about growing pains. I would recommend posting updates and ETAs on the K5 site so there are no surprises to the buyer.

Thanks again for making things right. Expect a great right up on your products in my book. They really are great.

Dave,

Yeah, again, sorry for the shipping thing. I did not know UPS did that. Your MALICE Clips hit the mail today too.(USPS :) )

I look forward to your book. Make sure I know when they are available for sale. I want to be one of the first on the list.

i've been waiting a while myself but at least there is no problems with communications....I mentioned it before with RMJ forge....took me years to get my hawks from that place..."was shipped last week" was the answer...then 1 month later and no package I wasnt sure if it was lost in the mail...no answer at RMJ for months...wrote nice letters, nice phone messages,etc...I was never rude and remained patient...it was even a LE order....and Ive had a Crash Axe on order for years (if fact I cant even remember if I already paid for it)

Wow! A great story of customer service response. These are the type of bladesmiths that get my business. Right along with Justin Gingrich, Jerry Busse and Sal Glessner.

I'm fond of the K5 hawks and expect to purchase one in the next 12 months. I'm also one of the guys with a Crash Axe on order - hopefully in two more weeks.

It's always refreshing when the crafter responds in this way as opposed to asking the consumer to lick part of his anatomy. ;)
