I had bought a small Sebenza - a special order with silver thumb lug and silver backspacer. The knife was way cool and I was pleased. But the lockbar had a tendency to stick on the tang if you had a firm grip on it. Using teflon grease did not help. So I emailed Chris Reeve Knives. They said to send it in and they would go over it. So I did. And I figured, while I was at it, I'll ask for double thumb lugs - in silver. My large Sebenza has double thumb lugs and I really appreciate that.
CRK was very cordial and they tuned that Sebenza up perfectly. The locking action is superb. For an extremely reasonable price, they added double thumb lugs in silver and they hogged out the lockbar to accommodate the left hand thumb. To top it off, at no cost, they grit blasted the scales to new condition and sharpened the blade. I mean they sharpened the blade - it is wicked sharp. Their turnaround time was about ten days. That is pretty good for a busy shop with a backlog.
